COMPROMISED VISUAL ACUITY as visual acuity is typically dependent upon the amount of pigmentation in the eye, hyu's lack thereof has contributed to a significant deficit in his clarity of vision even before the compounding of nystagmus. he is assisted by contact lenses and/or glasses, but his unassisted visual acuity scores as 20/160, meaning he needs to be 20ft away to clearly discern something a person "average" vision could at 160ft.
REFRACTIVE ERRORS in addition to his depth perception & sharpness of vision impacted by his albinism, the way light enters hyu's eyes is altered due to the shape of his eye (mild myopia) & blurred... further.
PHOTOPHOBIA he should wear protective eyecover, particularly when outside; regrettably he prefers to stare at the ground & rely on his hair's volume to block out most direct light, or otherwise stay indoors when possible.
INCREASED RISK OF SKIN CANCER

  BECKER'S MUSCULAR DYSTROPHY (BMD)   an x-linked recessive disorder causing a mutation dystrophin encoding which results in progressive muscle degeneration. affected muscle groups are within the pelvic area and proximal lower limbs, primarily, but generalized weakness may also be found in the shoulders. there may also be significant heart complications. bmd is related to the more well-known duchenne's, but is less common and less severe; the onset is also typically later, though it can vary widely. some children experience symptom onset as early as five years of age, but it is entirely possible for an affected individual to be well into adulthood (40+) before experiencing symptoms & receiving diagnosis. once diagnosed, management of symptoms is entirely possible, and rehabilitative care is essential to long-term function. undiagnosedCURRENT SYMPTOM(S) muscle weakness (mild); characterized by tiredness after periods of physical activity / energy exertion somewhat disproportionate to the amount of activity.
